Promethean Live Week of June 1: Diversity & Inclusion

We’re devoting this week’s Promethean Live lineup to discussing the topics of Diversity and Inclusion in classical music. Led by industry professionals who have demonstrated a tremendous commitment to diversity and inclusion, each class will explore these topics through the lense of the classical music community.

“We’ve gotten a few requests to schedule a class to discuss diversity and inclusion in classical music. As we began planning, it became clear these topics deserve far more focus than a single class can offer, which lead us to devote an entire week,” Adam Cavagnaro, president of Promethean Artists said.

“We feel it’s important that we offer our platform as a place for respectful discussion - especially at this moment in history - on ways the classical music community can embrace diversity and inclusion, and areas where we can do better. We have been putting together the schedule for this week for a while, and have attempted to assemble a diverse lineup of industry leaders from different races, genders, and sexual orientations.”

Classes take place on Instagram Live and Zoom, where viewers can ask questions and respond in real time. See the schedule below and tune in to join the conversation.
